Program to offer tips on communicating with children

NORWICH - Put the fun back into parenting by attending "Communicating Effectively with Your Child" on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in The William W. Backus Hospital's entry level conference rooms.
Presenters Bonnie Tompkins and Alana Jones of the Parent Resource Team of Connecticut will present an informative talk on positive discipline, temper tantrums, and other parenting challenges. The event is free but registration is requested by calling 823-6313.
The event is the first seminar in the Backus Nursing and Community Health Education Department monthly lecture series "Family Matters."
