Backus Operating Room to hold open house

NORWICH - The Operating Room at the William W. Backus Hospital will hold an open house on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 12-3 p.m. in the hospital's entry level conference rooms and the Same Day Surgery area.
See the latest advances in surgical technology at Backus Hospital, including the da Vinci surgical robot, OtisKnee replacement procedures and the latest trends in breast reconstructions.
The open house will also feature a contest to "name our robot;" relax with free massages; visit the hand-washing stations; view mock surgical procedures and bring in your favorite "wounded" stuffed animal for stitches, splints and bandages at the Teddy Bear Clinic. Norwich Public Utilities will be on hand to share information on their energy efficiency programs.
The open house is free; no registration required. All ages are welcome.
