27th Annual Backus Golf Tournament at Elmridge Golf Course, June 5, 2008
Planning is well underway for the 27th Annual Backus Golf Tournament. Please join us for this premier event, renowned for its exceptional camaraderie, fabulous reception and, of course, great golf on the beautiful greens of Elmridge Golf Course.
Proceeds from this year’s event will help support the Backus Breast Health Patient Navigator Program. This new program will serve as a comprehensive resource to guide women in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer, minimizing barriers and providing timely access to quality, compassionate care.
Registration Fees & Corporate Sponsorships
There are a number of great sponsorship opportunities available, with varied levels of contribution and benefit, some with foursomes included! As a sponsor of this significant event, your company will be associated with one of New England’s most progressive community hospitals, while improving the health of our communities.
Individual registration is $175.00 per player and includes breakfast, lunch on the course, great giveaways and a fabulous reception, as well as green fees and golf carts.

Survivors In Fashion Show
More than 700 people attended the Oct. 18 Survivors in Fashion Show, which raised approximately $70,000 for the Backus Hospital Breast Cancer Survivors Fund.

The William W. Backus Hospital Founders' Ball
On the evening of Saturday, October 21, 2006, our community gathered to celebrate the vision and generosity of our Founders, William Wolcott Backus and William Albert Slater, who established The William W. Backus Hospital, and the new "Founders," today, of our hospital's future.

Family Day at Backus Hospital

Backus Hospital hosted its first Family Day on Feb. 4, 2006. It included the unveiling of the new "A Star is Born at Backus" wall of honor outside the birthing center, as well as tours of the birthing center, a mini-health fair and musical entertainment for children. View photos here >>
