Ice Angel wine tasting event to benefit Backus Stroke Center
PrintPRESTON - Tickets are now available for the Ice Angel Wine Tasting and Backus Hospital Stroke Center fundraiser at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Dalice Elizabeth Winery, 6 Amos Road in Preston.
The event will highlight the dedication of the new Ice Angel brand of wine, and tastings will feature Ice Angel white, special blend reds and a gourmet demonstration from Executive Chef Guy Mitchell. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Backus stroke program.

In October, Backus was designated as Primary Stroke Center, meaning the hospital has proven to offer rapid and comprehensive stroke care for patients, while at the same time provide stroke education to improve outcomes and limit the number of strokes.
Stroke is the third leading cause of death in Connecticut and a major cause of disability.
