Aetna selects Backus as affordable
Backus Hospital has been selected by Aetna as a “Choose and Save” hospital for 2012. Under this Aetna benefit plan, members receive maximum savings when receiving medical care from Backus. As a participating hospital, Backus was rated based on clinical quality and efficient use of health care resources. Aetna developed the Choose and Save program as a response to employers and employees who wanted options designed to better control overall medical costs.
Cancer Center website offers many tools
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it is important that someone has as much reliable information as possible. Backus has developed a comprehensive website, backushospital.org/cancer that includes videos, brochures, support groups, clinical trials and other information about the Backus Cancer Center that cancer patients, their friends and family members can utilize.
