Auxiliary Gift Shop

The Auxiliary Gift Shop, located near the Registration Desk on the Ground Level, continues to serve staff, visitors and patients, offering flowers, candy, books and magazines as well as jewelry, stuffed animals, toys and unique giftware. The Shop also offers consignment items created by hospital staff and Auxiliary members. The Shop is currently staffed by 51 volunteers and a paid manager. New volunteers are always welcome, so if you're interested, please stop by the Shop or call (860)889-8331, ext. 2265. All profits are used to meet the financial obligations of the Auxiliary - all of which benefit the Hospital. Auxiliary members are entitled to a 10% discount on most items, so do stop by soon to shop.

The Auxiliary operating three vending machine refreshment facilities situated within the hospital which contribute substantial income towards the Auxiliary budget. Hospital patients, visitors and employees find a wide variety of beverages and snacks available in the Canteens along the main corridor (near the Gift Shop), and adjacent to the Same Day Surgery waiting area.

Auxiliary membership is open to both men and women and is renewed yearly. Membership dues for the year are $20 for a regular member, $10 for senior citizens. Lifetime membership is available for a one-time contribution of $100 or four quarterly payments of $25. Membership is on an active or inactive basis; there is no time commitment for those who join, but those who wish to volunteer in some capacity are always welcome.

The Shop is open Monday - Friday 9:30 am-7:30pm, Saturday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
