Give the gift of life during July blood drives at Backus

NORWICH - The William W. Backus Hospital will host two blood drives in July: on Wednesday, July 1, from noon to 4:45 p.m. at the Backus Outpatient Care Center, 111 Salem Turnpike in Norwich. The second drive will take place on Thursday, July 2, in the main hospital's entry level conference rooms from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Blood supplies typically run low during the summer months, so it's a great time to give the gift of life. All donors during the July drives will receive a coupon for a free carton of Friendly's Ice Cream.
