Event to benefit the Backus Stroke Program
Participants gathered Saturday, Feb. 13, in the spacious Italian kitchen and dining room of John and Mary-Lee Wilcox in Preston for a a fund-raising event to benefit the Backus Stroke Program. The event, which featured great foods, live music, a silent auction and a cooking demonstration by a White House chef, raised money and awareness for Backus Hospital's Primary Stroke Center.

More than 100 parents-to-be took part in an open house January 23 at Backus. The event included tours of the Backus Birthing Center and presentations by an obstetrician, pediatrician, anesthesiologist, social workers and other professionals.
