CorePlus and Defenders team up to help cancer patients
PrintNORWICH – CorePlus Federal Credit Union has donated $1,500 to The William W. Backus Hospital Breast Cancer Survivors Fund.
The funds will be added to the proceeds from the October Survivors in Fashion event, which CorePlus was a sponsor of, and will be used to benefit local cancer patients.
The $1,500 was raised over the summer as CorePlus pledged $50 for each homerun hit by the Connecticut Defenders.
“Backus Foundation would like to thank CorePlus and the Defenders for their contribution to the Backus Breast Cancer Survivors Fund,” said Genevieve Schies, Director of Planned Giving for the Backus Foundation. “This creative and fun partnership was truly a ‘home run’ for our community’s health.”
