Caring strategies for Alzheimer's caregivers

NORWICH - Hear advice and learn about resources available to help caregivers cope with the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and dementia patients in "Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia: Strategies for Caregivers" on Thursday, Dec. 10, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in The William W. Backus Hospital's entry level conference rooms.

Presenters Cynthia Muncaster, an occupational therapist, Jennifer Beaupre, a speech therapist, and Mary Ann Duchene, a registered nurse - all from Backus Home Health Care - will discuss numerous techniques in working through frustrations that may come with caring for Alzheimer's and dementia patients.

The event is part of the Backus Nursing and Community Health Education Department monthly lecture series "Family Matters."
