Cancer survivors to take stage as models

NORWICH – The William W. Backus Hospital is selling tickets and seeking sponsors for its 2011 Survivors in Fashion show, to be held Oct. 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Fox Theatre.
Approximately 20 cancer survivors will take part in the fashion show, which in addition to being a fundraiser shows that there is hope after being diagnosed with breast cancer. This year's theme is "We are a Family."
All funds raised will go towards the Backus Breast Cancer Survivors Fund, which is used to benefit local cancer survivors through new technology, programs and support.
