Blood levels critically low; donate blood at Backus blood drive July 2

NORWICH – Type O negative blood supplies have dropped to critically low levels and residents can help by donating blood Friday, July 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at The William W. Backus Hospital.
All blood donations will be accepted, but Type O is especially needed. To schedule an appointment call 860-823-6381.
The blood drive is being held in the hospital’s entry level conference rooms. Anyone who donates will receive a coupon for a free half gallon of Friendly’s ice cream.
