Backus to offer arthritis management programs

The Arthritis Center of Backus Hospital is offering three educational programs about managing your pain.

Rheumatologist Sandeep Varma, MD, Director of the Arthritis Center, will present on:

• Sept. 16 — “Options for Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis” 
• Oct. 14 — “An Update on Treating Psoriatic and Ankylosing Spondylitis” 
• Oct. 21 — “The Latest Advances in the Treatment of Fibromyalgia”

The programs, which are free and open to the public, will be held at the Backus Outpatient Care Center, 111 Salem Turnpike in Norwich from 5-6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
