Backus Psychiatric Services lecture focuses on women and depression
NORWICH - The William W. Backus Hospital's Department of Psychiatric Services will hold a talk on "Depression in Women Across the Life Cycle" on Thursday, May 28, from 3-4:30 p.m. in the hospital's conference rooms 1 and 2.
Aileen Feldman, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Connecticut Medical School, and a private practitioner in Southington, will present.
The lecture will review the highest risk periods of illness for women with depression; the impact depression has on women who are pregnant; and the co-morbidities we should be especially aware of in women with life history of depression.
Light refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
