Backus nurse job fair to be held Sept. 7
NORWICH – The William W. Backus Hospital is seeking to fill approximately 50 registered nurse positions in its new Resource Center, Emergency Department and other areas of the hospital.
A job fair for experienced registered nurses with acute care hospital experience will be held Tuesday, Sept. 7 from noon to 6 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby conference rooms 2 and 3. On-site interviews and refreshments will be available.
The hospital’s new Resource Center will supplement existing nursing staff, offering the ability to maintain a cross-trained, flexible resource pool of nurses to cope with unpredictable patient volume. At least two years of experience is required for these positions.
The Edward and Mary Lord Emergency Care and Trauma Center, renovated and expanded three years ago, is on a pace to surpass 70,000 patient visits, the most in its history. At least one year of experience is required for the Emergency Department positions.
