Backus Home Health Care achieves accreditation

NORWICH - Backus Home Health Care was recently awarded accreditation by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP).As an independent, non-profit accrediting body, CHAP objectively validates the excellence of community healthcare practice through consistent measurement of the delivery of quality services.
The application process started in the spring of 2008 with a self-study based upon CHAP standards. In June, a representative from CHAP performed a comprehensive on-site visit to review everything from organizational procedures to quality management statistics and conduct on-site visits along with staff.
